About the role

As a member of the Finance Department at MG Motor Europe, the Accountant will be responsible for core and operational accounting activities that ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Reconcile balance‑sheet and bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare and analyse account reconciliations and financial data for management.
Participate in monthly and year‑end closing activities, including the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with local accounting principles and IFRS.
Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
