Account Manager – Acceptance Payments

About the role

The Account Manager (Acceptance Payments) reports to the SVP of Account Management Europe and is responsible for scaling relationships with Thunes' large European clients, including merchants, PSPs, MTOs, wallets and fintechs. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role focuses on delivering a world‑class customer experience while driving revenue growth through cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner to key accounts, ensuring retention, contractual health and maximum satisfaction.
• Develop and execute account plans and strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Drive revenue within accounts through cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities.
• Maintain methodical partner management based on KPIs.
• Advocate for client needs and communicate them to internal teams.
• Collaborate with product, sales, compliance, solution delivery and operations to improve offerings.
• Coordinate rollout of new services, considering market specifics such as regulation and competition.
• Own customer requests, explore new value‑adding opportunities, and ensure timely reporting in the CRM tool.
• Provide leadership with feedback on performance, sales activity and account strategy.
• Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and customers to facilitate issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large B2B accounts in the payments or fintech sector within Europe.
• Strong relationship‑building and advisory skills, acting as a trusted partner for clients.
• Ability to develop strategic account plans and execute them to achieve revenue targets.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple internal functions.
• Result‑oriented mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven performance.
