Account Executive – Defence & Intelligence (France)

About the role

Planet is looking for a France‑based Account Executive to grow its government sales pipeline within the Ministère des Armées and the Armées Françaises. You will be responsible for selling complex satellite‑data solutions to defence and intelligence customers, navigating French procurement processes, and contributing to the company’s mission of using space data to solve global challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of government leads to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close medium‑ and large‑size contracts with defence and intelligence agencies.
• Deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations to prospective customers.
• Accurately forecast revenue and pipeline health.
• Collaborate closely with the Global D&I Sales team and internal technical experts.
• Maintain an extensive network within the French defence sector and stay current on procurement frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven track record selling to government and defence customers.
• Deep understanding of military operations, intelligence requirements, and complex solution selling.
• Ability to navigate French procurement processes and frameworks.
• Strong independent and creative thinking with a results‑driven mindset.
• Experience managing quotas, forecasting, and closing deals.
