Workplace Technical Manager

About the role

The Workplace Technical Manager will own the day‑to‑day technical operations of the Sophia Antipolis site while contributing to EMEA‑wide standards for preventive maintenance, vendor management and technical practices. This hybrid position blends hands‑on building system work with strategic improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily technical operations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS and access systems at the Sophia Antipolis site.
• Perform hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Maintain accurate asset records, documentation and compliance standards.
• Monitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate on‑site vendors, define scopes, support tendering and ensure quality of external interventions.
• Develop and roll out preventive maintenance (PPM) frameworks across EMEA sites.
• Provide technical input and support to other locations as needed.
• Support office setups, internal moves and light multi‑trade interventions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and structured maintenance processes.
• Proven ability to work independently on issue resolution.
• Experience managing external suppliers and tracking performance.
• Proactive, self‑managing attitude with clear communication for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
