Vice President Procurement – Aircraft Leasing

About the role

We are seeking a Vice President of Procurement to lead aircraft configuration and BFE (Buyer Furnished Equipment) procurement for an aircraft leasing business. The role combines strategic planning, commercial negotiation and risk‑focused project management to ensure new aircraft orders meet lessee requirements while delivering commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Research aircraft configuration trends and airline customer needs to guide new aircraft configurations.
• Lead configuration planning for new orders, ensuring flexibility and commercial viability.
• Support the commercial team with configuration analysis and accurate equipment cost estimations.
• Engage with potential lessees to define specific configuration requirements and participate in LOI/LA negotiations.
• Manage SCN procurement and control BFE procurement costs.
• Lead BFE negotiations, track contract performance and manage execution risks.
• Oversee purchase orders for BFE items, monitor production schedules, identify delays and implement mitigation actions.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with BFE OEMs and vendors, collaborating on innovative cooperation models.

Required profile

• 7+ years progressive experience in aircraft procurement, customization, specification and new aircraft configuration management.
• Proven track record negotiating OEM and vendor contracts.
• Deep understanding of aircraft customization processes and leasing industry practices.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and project‑management capability.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
