Vice President / Director – Iberian Infrastructure Investments

About the role

The firm is a leading European infrastructure investment manager seeking a senior professional to lead its Iberian (Spain & Portugal) investment activities from Paris. The role covers the full transaction lifecycle, from market development to portfolio management and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and assess new infrastructure investment opportunities across Spain and Portugal.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, corporates, advisers, public‑sector bodies, lenders and other market participants.
• Lead transactions from screening through due diligence, structuring, negotiation, investment‑committee approval and completion.
• Evaluate brownfield and greenfield projects across energy transition, mobility, digital and social infrastructure.
• Coordinate financial, commercial, technical, legal, tax, regulatory and ESG due‑diligence workstreams.
• Prepare and present investment papers to the investment committee.
• Negotiate transaction documentation, financing arrangements and governance rights.
• Work with portfolio‑company management to implement long‑term business plans and represent the firm on board.
• Identify and deliver value‑creation initiatives such as refinancing, operational improvements, add‑on acquisitions and CAPEX programmes.
• Monitor political, regulatory and sector developments affecting Iberian infrastructure.
• Support fundraising, investor‑relations and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Manage and develop junior investment team members.

Required profile

• Significant experience in infrastructure private equity, an infrastructure fund, a pension or sovereign investment platform, a developer or a corporate investment team.
• Proven track record of investing in Spain and/or Portugal, with experience leading transactions to completion.
• Demonstrated ability across multiple stages of the investment lifecycle, from origination to portfolio management.
• Strong network within the Iberian infrastructure market.
