Verification & Validation Electronic Engineer

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Verification & Validation Electronic Engineer to join the Avionics & Simulation Products department in Toulouse, France. You will work within the IVV team, focusing on integration, verification, and validation of flight control computers and critical avionics equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Define, lead, and execute the IVV strategy for flight control computers and avionics equipment.
• Design, develop, and maintain verification means and test environments such as test benches and simulators.
• Write procedures, run tests on boards and FPGAs, and analyse anomalies together with development teams.
• Ensure requirement traceability throughout the lifecycle and compliance with aeronautical standards (DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A).
• Report compliance status and environmental qualification results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in integration, verification, and validation of avionics systems/equipment.
• Engineering degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Aeronautics or related field.
• Strong teamwork, analytical, synthesis, curiosity and excellent technical English communication.
• Security clearance eligibility or existing clearance.

Required skills

• V&V methodologies for boards, FPGAs and equipment.
• High‑speed design and communication buses (ARINC 429, AFDX, MIL‑STD‑1553).
• Testing, simulation and programming tools: Python, LabVIEW, C++.
• Knowledge of aeronautical standards: DO‑178C, DO‑254, ARP4754A.
