UAV Remote Pilot

About the role

Tekever is seeking an experienced UAV Remote Pilot to support safe and compliant unmanned aerial system (UAS) operations across Europe and beyond. You will work closely with the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) and customers to deliver high‑quality flight services while ensuring adherence to regulations and company safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the RPIC in planning, executing, and monitoring UAS missions to guarantee safety and compliance.
• Maintain detailed flight records, incident reports, and safety assessments.
• Enforce company safety protocols and best‑practice procedures.
• Support operators with flight planning, pre‑flight checks, and post‑flight debriefings.
• Provide emergency response guidance during system failures or unexpected hazards.
• Train and mentor UAS operators on risk mitigation and operational excellence.
• Keep personal certifications and competencies current on Tekever platforms.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English and French (C2 level); Portuguese or Spanish a plus.
• Strong aviation knowledge, including ground school and live‑flight experience.
• Understanding of meteorology (MET) and airspace regulations.
• Relevant certifications such as A1, A3, A2, and a pilot licence (LAPL/PPL/HPL).
• Engineering licence or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience with MALE/HALE and MUAS platforms, including platform‑specific certifications.
• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK, Portugal, the US, and Europe.

Required skills

• A1 and A3 certificates (CAA/EASA).
• A2 Certificate of Competence.
• Engineering License.
• MALE/HALE UAS Platform Certification (e.g., H900, H450, WK, MQ).
• MUAS Certification (e.g., Puma, DH3, Raven, Stalker).
• Flight Radiotelephony Operating License.
• Pilot License (LAPL, PPL, HPL, etc.).
• Ground school knowledge, MET and airspace understanding, mathematics and physics proficiency.
