Transportation Operations Management Technician (Level 3)

About the role

Amazon’s EU Transportation Operations Management (TOM) Technology Integration and Execution (TIE) team is seeking a Level 3 Technician to support and maintain yard‑side computer and electronic systems. You will implement technical solutions, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the reliability of gatehouse PCs and automation devices across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve technical tickets within SLA timelines.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Gatehouse PC hardware, software, and connected automation devices (drivers, MAC and IP addresses).
• Perform daily health checks, monitor performance metrics (license‑plate detection, vehicle detection, audio quality) and conduct quarterly preventive maintenance.
• Investigate critical system issues, isolate root causes through iterative testing, and document findings with corrective actions.
• Own inventory of automation equipment, track check‑outs, and raise procurement tickets.
• Coordinate with TIE Procurement, OTS, RME, RYA/Gate teams and act as primary liaison with vendors.
• Raise clear tickets with impact assessments and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in computer architecture, hardware troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Ability to follow SOPs, deviate when necessary, and work independently on straightforward problems.
