Transmission System Stress Engineer – Helicopter Design

About the role

Take off with Airbus Helicopters! The company is seeking a Transmission System Stress Engineer to join the Design Office in Marignane, France, working on helicopter transmission systems and ensuring safety of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Define and follow up on flight or laboratory tests to correlate Samcef models.
• Act as certification authority, preparing substantiation documents for international aviation authorities.
• Lead methodology development, evolving calculation methods for next‑generation rotorcraft.

Required profile

• 5‑year degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical part analysis (metallic materials, static & fatigue).
• Proven FEM experience with Samcef for static and fatigue analysis.
• Advanced French and English language skills.

Required skills

• Finite Element Method (FEM) using Samcef.
• Static and fatigue analysis.
• Knowledge of crack propagation or fatigue testing.
• Understanding of aviation authority certification processes.
