Trade-in Buybulk Intern

About the role

Back Market is a global marketplace for refurbished devices. Its Trade-In service lets customers sell old smartphones, tablets and gaming consoles, and BuyBulk is the centralised service where a single partner receives, tests and grades incoming devices in bulk so refurbishers can focus on refurbishing and selling. This internship supports BuyBulk performance against daily, weekly and monthly targets.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor KPIs, support regular reporting, one-off analyses and continuous improvement of reporting and tools
• Own key operational processes and checks to ensure steady performance and customer satisfaction
• Support major projects such as improving efficiency through automation, building or improving processes, tools and reports (quality control, customer care, pricing)
• Help structure large projects: benchmarking and research, action plans, stakeholder mapping across business development, marketing or product, timelines and follow-up

Required profile

• 6-month internship, starting in January 2027, full-time (35 hours per week) in Paris
• Fluent English and French
• Advanced analytical and data manipulation skills, with attention to detail
• Eager to test and learn independently and proactively improve processes
• Previous experience as a business analyst, country or category manager, operations manager, seller success manager, or investment banking or consulting intern is ideal

Required skills

• Advanced Google Sheets (pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Basic SQL or willingness to learn it during the internship
• VBA, Zapier and other automation or visualization tools are a big plus
