Technical Strategy Manager

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking a Technical Strategy Manager to bridge strategy and engineering. You will evaluate technology choices, audit internal capabilities, and ensure that R&D and innovation decisions align with the company’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Challenge technical choices and roadmaps proposed by R&D and Innovation teams, including architecture, stack, and build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Question assumptions behind projects regarding feasibility, ROI, strategic fit, and technical debt.
• Conduct continuous technology and market watch, turning findings into actionable inputs for product roadmaps and COMEX discussions.
• Map and assess the company’s technical capabilities, identifying risks, over‑ or under‑investment, and critical dependencies.
• Contribute to the definition of the overall technology strategy alongside the Strategy & Operations Director.
• Produce syntheses and recommendations for the executive committee, setting up tracking indicators and governance processes.

Required profile

• Hybrid background at the intersection of strategy and engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to produce independent, well‑argued analyses.
• Experience auditing technical capabilities and evaluating technology investments.
• Comfort working with senior leadership and influencing cross‑functional teams.
