Technical Safety Assessor / Architect (HW‑SoC)

About the role

As a recognized technical expert in Functional Safety within NXP's CTO Functional Safety team, you will lead ISO‑26262 assessments for hardware products (SoC) and contribute to system safety solution development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ISO‑26262 functional safety assessments for SoC hardware products.
• Manage technical peer reviews on request from Business Line / Product Line Safety Managers.
• Develop system and hardware safety concepts, including requirements, architecture and safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, DFA, FMEDA, data‑flow analysis).
• Drive innovation topics influencing future SoC/IC designs.
• Promote functional safety culture across the organization and engage with standardisation bodies.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience developing hardware/semiconductor safety products for automotive.
• Deep knowledge of ISO‑26262 (or equivalent safety standards).
• Proven technical leadership and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Experience with requirement‑driven processes and understanding of supplier‑OEM safety responsibilities.

• Semiconductor safety products (SoC, MCU, MPU).
