Technical Lead – Data Platform (AWS & AI)

About the role

Are you attracted to Data & AI transformation and enterprise platform architecture? Join Bureau Veritas’s DxT Foundations team as a Data Platform Technical Lead. You will work autonomously on varied projects, supporting operational teams and clients to build and operate a modern enterprise Data & AI Platform on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure platform availability, performance, security and stability through proactive operations, monitoring and incident resolution.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap, assess and implement new AWS Data & AI capabilities, lead upgrades and migrations, and automate processes with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps.
• Support application teams in onboarding and publishing data products, and assist analytics, BI and AI teams with secure data sharing and self‑service capabilities.
• Implement and maintain governance services such as metadata management, catalog, quality monitoring, lineage tracking and access controls.
• Produce operational dashboards, monitor usage trends, track cloud costs and identify opportunities to increase platform adoption and value.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a Data Platform or Cloud Platform Engineering role, or 7 years as a Data Engineer with strong AWS experience in large international organisations.

Required skills

• AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lake Formation, SageMaker Unified Studio.
• Data pipeline orchestration and cloud‑native data architectures.
• Strong SQL and Python programming.
• Data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking and data quality monitoring.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD/DevOps practices.
