Systems and Equipment Buyer – Procurement

About the role

ATR is seeking a Systems and Equipment Buyer to join its Direct Procurement Directorate. The role focuses on negotiating and managing contracts for the development, supply, and support of systems and equipment installed on ATR aircraft, ensuring optimal conditions for the company and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations with suppliers (price updates, new products/services) using competitive or direct approaches.
• Manage purchase contracts: amend, enforce provisions, and monitor compliance.
• Ensure supplier performance, drive remedial actions and handle claim management.
• Coordinate senior‑management meetings with suppliers and maintain up‑to‑date contract information in IT systems.
• Prepare and participate in Commodity MFT activities and benchmark market trends.
• Lead Requests for Proposals, incorporating stakeholder requirements.
• Represent ATR at supplier sites, industry events, and working groups.
• Occasional business travel as required.

Required profile

• Commercial master’s degree with a solid technical background, or an engineering degree with relevant business experience.
• Proven experience in a similar procurement or buyer role.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Ability to draft and manage contractual documents (legal background).
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain and purchasing processes.
• Good understanding of aircraft systems and aircraft maintenance.
• Negotiation skills in English (and French).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP.
