Synthetic Flight Instructor – Training Centre

About the role

Airbus Training Centre in Blagnac is seeking a Synthetic Flight Instructor (non‑flying position) to deliver type‑specific training to airline crews transitioning to Airbus aircraft. The role combines classroom instruction, simulator sessions and performance‑based training to ensure crews meet all regulatory and Airbus standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training on Fixed Base Simulators, Full Flight Simulators and Airbus Pilots Training Devices.
• Deliver stand‑up lectures covering normal and emergency procedures required by airworthiness authorities.
• Assess crew progress, determine the need for additional sessions and ensure proficiency within defined time limits.
• Provide specialised courses such as ETOPS and performance training after appropriate indoctrination.
• Participate in course development and standardisation activities as required.

Required profile

• Current or former Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holder with Frozen ATPL or ATPL.
• Minimum 3,000 flight hours, including at least 1,500 hours on multi‑pilot aircraft.
• At least three years of commercial aviation experience on FAR 25/CS‑25 or FAR 23/CS‑23 aircraft, preferably Airbus.
• Fluent English (negotiation level) and recognised pedagogical abilities.
• Willingness to travel worldwide for training missions.
