Supply Chain Engineer

About the role

The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for defining and governing the spare‑parts supply chain policy across DATA4’s data centre portfolio. The role ensures parts availability, supplier resilience, cost optimisation and compliance with ESG commitments while acting as the main interface between Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a 5‑year spare‑parts supply chain strategy aligned with CAPEX, OPEX, ESG and risk management objectives.
• Design and roll out a centralized, automated European spare‑parts warehouse integrated with ERP/CMMS systems.
• Lead the transition from local to framework contracts for operational spare‑parts categories and negotiate Group Framework Agreements with Tier‑1 suppliers.
• Develop and maintain a Supply Chain Risk Matrix, implementing multi‑sourcing, safety stock and contingency plans.
• Integrate ESG and Scope 3 emission criteria into procurement processes and report progress via sustainability dashboards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in critical infrastructure or data‑centre environments.
• Strong understanding of contract law, sourcing strategies, total‑cost‑of‑ownership analysis and risk management.
• Fluent English; additional French, Italian or Spanish is a plus.
