Storage & Backup Specialist (F/M)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Storage & Backup Specialist to join the Digital Security team in Elancourt, France. You will support the implementation, continuous optimisation and maintenance of critical storage and backup infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, availability and security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure and manage enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage) according to business and project requirements.
• Provide expert technical support and consultancy to engineering teams, project managers and stakeholders.
• Administer and optimise backup and recovery systems, including disaster‑recovery testing and security implementation with service providers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for storage and backup infrastructure and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of storage and backup solutions.
• Identify operational weaknesses and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, capacity utilisation and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in enterprise storage and backup environments.
• Relevant certifications such as NetApp, Veeam or ITIL are a plus.
• Eligibility for French security clearance and French nationality as required by IGI 1300.

• ITIL‑based incident, problem, change and configuration management.
