Sr. Android Engineer – Launcher & Unity Integration

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to lead the creation of next‑generation Android launcher experiences for millions of users worldwide. Based in France, you will combine deep platform expertise with Unity integration to deliver high‑performance home‑screen environments and innovative monetisation features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end native Android launcher components, including home screen, app grid, drawer, folders, widgets, wallpapers and themes.
• Architect a modular launcher platform that supports multiple product variants while ensuring stability and code reusability.
• Integrate Unity‑based games using Unity as a Library, managing process isolation and performance optimisation.
• Optimise system‑level metrics such as startup speed, memory usage and responsiveness, complying with Google Play policies.
• Implement monetisation layers (ads, search, in‑game placements) using AdMob, Unity Ads and related SDKs.
• Collaborate with product, design and game teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and promote best practices, including AI‑assisted development workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional Android development experience on large‑scale, production‑grade applications.
• Proven track record building custom Android launchers or home‑screen replacement apps.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Unity as a Library or similar game engines into Android apps.
• Strong understanding of mobile monetisation systems and ad SDKs.
