Splunk Expert / Technical Lead (France)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Splunk Expert / Technical Lead to join its Digital team in Élancourt, France. You will drive the architecture, deployment and optimisation of Splunk platforms that underpin system monitoring and security across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and scaling of Splunk solutions across multiple Airbus environments.
• Optimise data ingestion, indexing and search performance to ensure high‑availability monitoring.
• Create advanced dashboards, reports and alerts for security operations, compliance and incident response.
• Mentor junior Splunk administrators and analysts, fostering best‑practice adoption.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to internal Splunk governance and standards.

Required profile

• Proven expert‑level experience with Splunk Enterprise architecture, deployment and administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; French nationality required for security clearance.
• Relevant Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect) are a plus.

Required skills

• Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and/or Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Search Processing Language (SPL) and data onboarding best practices.
• Performance tuning and optimisation of Splunk instances.
• Scripting with Python and Shell for automation.
• Dashboard, report and alert development.
