Software Engineer, New Grad

About the role

We are looking for recent graduates or engineers with up to two years of experience to join Mistral AI’s software engineering team. As a Software Engineer you will contribute to the core systems that power our AI Studio, applications and infrastructure, working alongside senior engineers who will mentor your growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend features and APIs using modern frameworks.
• Improve performance, reliability and scalability of services that support authentication, billing, AI tooling, observability and search.
• Build user‑facing components with TypeScript, React and Next.js, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring and performance optimisation of cloud‑native architectures.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews and help enhance internal tools and documentation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (B.Sc./M.Sc.) or up to 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Eager to learn, collaborate and deliver impactful products in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a distributed, multicultural team.
