Software Engineer - Internal Tools

About the role

Prelude is building internal tools and AI‑powered automation to accelerate every team across engineering, ops, sales, support and finance. As a Software Engineer you will own the design, development and maintenance of these critical platforms, turning friction into reliable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal tools used daily by multiple departments.
• Build agentic AI workflows that automate repetitive processes such as fraud review, invoicing and support triage.
• Integrate and evaluate cutting‑edge AI engineering tools (Claude, Cursor, n8n, Dust, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points and deliver functional solutions with rapid feedback loops.
• Develop internal dashboards on top of DynamoDB, ClickHouse and Postgres and participate in on‑call rotations for the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping software in fast‑paced environments and finishing projects.
• Hands‑on experience building automated workflows or AI‑powered tools in production.
• Background building internal tools with a focus on reliability and usable UX.
• Strong backend expertise in Go or TypeScript and ability to create robust APIs.
• Comfortable working full‑stack, including React front‑ends and AWS data services.
