Software Engineer – Connect Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Connect Platform team in France. You will help build and enhance the backend systems that enable reliable communication between energy devices—such as EV chargers and vehicles—and digital services worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API integrations with energy device manufacturers.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, observability, and overall performance.
• Implement backend features and product‑level enhancements for seamless device connectivity.
• Create automation tools for integration monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.
• Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices to reduce incidents.
• Define and refine service‑level objectives, operational processes, and engineering best practices.
• Debug complex technical issues and deliver long‑term solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions to align platform priorities with customer and product needs.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
• Leverage modern engineering tools, including AI‑powered development assistants, to boost productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience building maintainable, testable backend software, preferably with API development.
• Strong interest in product‑focused platform engineering that connects applications, services, and devices.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, or a willingness to develop deep TypeScript expertise.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
• Ability to improve existing systems through debugging, automation, monitoring, and reliability enhancements.
