Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

Join JD.com’s global technology team to develop and operate the backend systems for Joybuy, the company’s international e‑commerce platform. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions that serve millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Joybuy’s backend services with a focus on performance, availability, concurrency, security, and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing monitoring, maintainability, and grey‑release/rollback capabilities.
• Research, adopt, and promote new technologies and methodologies to improve system architecture.
• Explore integration opportunities between emerging technologies and global system architectures to drive technical growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Java development and Spring Boot.
• Passionate about clean, elegant code and continuous improvement, with a strong interest in open‑source projects.
• Proactive, fast learner, highly collaborative, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills in both Chinese and English.
