Site Business Controller

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Site Business Controller to act as a trusted financial partner at the site level. The role is essential for maintaining a robust control environment, safeguarding profitability and ensuring compliance with corporate risk policies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive an effective control environment and identify financial gaps, taking corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to risk‑related policies, standards and governance at the site.
• Review and support customer implementation projects, checking costings, billing SOPs and compliance checklists.
• Monitor invoicing completeness, accuracy and timeliness against customer contracts.
• Manage relationships with authorities and financial stakeholders to facilitate communication.
• Conduct site profitability checks (CM1), analyse loss‑making sites and ensure reporting at GP and EBIT level.
• Participate in month‑end closing activities and produce financial performance and risk reports.
• Provide transparent profit and customer reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess financial profitability and risk.
• Experience in financial controlling or similar finance roles within a logistics or industrial environment.
• Proactive approach to identifying gaps and implementing mitigation actions.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and external authorities.
