Senior Vice President, Global Environmental Health & Safety

About the role

Evotec is seeking a senior‑level leader to head its global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the SVP will shape strategy, drive digital transformation and embed a proactive safety culture across all sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global EHS strategy aligned with business, people and sustainability objectives.
• Lead digitalisation of EHS systems, including predictive analytics, real‑time monitoring and global reporting dashboards.
• Oversee certification, maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related management systems.
• Ensure compliance with current and emerging regulations covering chemical safety, occupational health, environmental protection and climate‑related disclosures.
• Integrate EHS processes into enterprise systems and operational workflows.
• Implement advanced risk‑reduction methods such as behavior‑based safety and predictive risk modelling.
• Direct incident investigations, capture lessons learned and disseminate best practices.
• Own global EHS KPIs, dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide transparent performance insight.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global EHS management, preferably within a science‑driven or industrial environment.
• Strong ability to influence at all organisational levels, from site operations to the executive board.
• Track record of driving cultural change toward high‑performance safety practices.
• Strategic thinker with operational execution skills in fast‑paced, innovative settings.
