Senior Software Engineer – Identity Verification

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Checkout.com you will join the Identity Verification team, building innovative products that verify the identities of individuals and businesses worldwide. You will develop next‑generation verification features using orchestration, generative AI and computer‑vision technologies, while ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable micro‑service applications for identity verification challenges.
• Own the full lifecycle of new and existing features from concept through production deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, data science and risk teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Champion technical excellence, knowledge sharing and resilience across the data organization.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and operate systems with high reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience building complex, large‑scale software applications.
• Strong proficiency in C# .NET and solid understanding of backend or full‑stack development.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving abilities and experience in agile environments.
• Curiosity about AI and willingness to adopt emerging technologies.
• Payments or financial services knowledge is a plus.
