Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Database

About the role

Doctolib is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability and performance of its production database systems. You will join a cross‑functional Database Optimization team that works closely with developers, DBAs and other SREs to support the rapid growth of the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases that scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Automate deployment, scaling and maintenance of databases to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting and incident‑response processes.
• Provide documentation and tooling to empower feature teams in using databases safely.
• Mitigate production database issues when they cannot be resolved by the responsible feature team.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools and best practices for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience operating production platforms at scale.
• Proven experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Strong background with datastores such as PostgreSQL, Kafka and/or Couchbase.
• Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Fluent English communication skills.
