Senior Sales Engineer - Strategic AI

About the role

As a Senior Sales Engineer focused on Strategic AI, you will design and deliver high‑performance storage solutions that enable customers in finance, pharma, education and autonomous systems to meet demanding data workloads. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, translating complex requirements into scalable, secure architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand critical data challenges such as high‑frequency trading, genomics processing, AI model training, and sensor fusion, then design storage solutions that exceed performance and protection expectations.
• Architect storage for AI/ML training, HPC simulations, data analytics and GPU‑accelerated workloads, creating BOMs, system designs and technical proposals for complex RFPs.
• Conduct live demos, proof‑of‑concepts and performance benchmarks, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to feed field insights into product direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑8+ years of experience in pre‑sales, solutions architecture or technical consulting, with a proven track record designing storage or infrastructure solutions for AI/ML or HPC workloads.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of storage architectures: SAN, NAS, object storage, parallel file systems.
• Familiarity with storage protocols such as S3, POSIX, NFS, SMB.
• Understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, InfiniBand, RDMA.
• Experience with massively parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Exascaler) and GPU‑accelerated environments.
• Ability to integrate storage with Kubernetes, cloud platforms and AI frameworks.
