Senior Risk Modelling Engineer

About the role

Join a global leader in maritime classification and certification as a Senior Risk Modelling Engineer. You will work within the Research Department of the Technical Direction, focusing on ship safety modelling and assessment, especially in the context of maritime decarbonisation and alternative propulsion solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to and structure risk modelling and analysis activities, acting as a technical lead on complex projects.
• Support teams involved in the approval of innovative concepts and new technologies by addressing complex multiphysics challenges.
• Develop and enhance internal tools and methodologies for risk assessment.
• Provide technical supervision and training to other engineers.
• Help evolve the overall risk assessment offering of the company.

Required profile

• General engineering background with initial experience in R&D or engineering consultancy in risk analysis.
• Solid foundations in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, hazard sciences, and risk analysis.
• Experience in marine & offshore or nuclear industries is a plus.
• Fluent in English, willing to travel occasionally in France, Europe, and worldwide.
