Senior Remote Sensing Space Systems Technical Manager

About the role

Novaspace Technology is seeking a Senior Remote Sensing Space Systems Technical Manager to lead and support engineering activities across the full lifecycle of remote sensing missions. The role involves defining, assessing and delivering EO, SAR and other advanced sensing systems for defence, security and commercial customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and analyse customer needs to shape system architecture and concept of operations.
• Generate and manage high‑level requirements, ground‑system specifications and technical annexes for RFPs.
• Lead feasibility studies, cost assessments and trade‑off analyses for EO, SAR, ELINT, Lidar and related technologies.
• Oversee procurement, contract negotiation and industrial execution of design, integration, test and commissioning phases.
• Provide operations support, training and technical due‑diligence for deployed remote sensing assets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, remote sensing or a related field.
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience with remote sensing space instruments and systems.
• Minimum 5 years of technical management experience on international space projects.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel globally.

• Electro‑Optical (EO) instruments and systems (MSI, HSI, VNIR, SWIR, TIR).
• Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology.
• ELINT and Lidar remote sensing technologies.
• Laser Communication Terminals for optical inter‑satellite links.
• System engineering, requirement generation and system operations.
