Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Project (Paris)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a 6‑month contract supporting the completion and handover of a major data centre development in Paris. You will lead mechanical completion activities, conduct site inspections, manage snagging items and work closely with commissioning teams to ensure a smooth project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site inspections and mechanical walkdowns.
• Manage and track snagging and punch‑list items.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to close out defects.
• Review installation quality and compliance with design specifications.
• Support commissioning and systems acceptance activities.
• Assist with project documentation and handover requirements.
• Participate in client and contractor coordination meetings.
• Monitor progress and escalate delivery risks when necessary.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience on data centre projects, especially in completion, QA/QC, commissioning or close‑out phases.
• Strong site coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively drive completion activities.
• Mission‑critical project experience, preferably from a consultancy, owner’s engineer or client‑side background.
