Senior M&A Legal Counsel (International)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Legal Counsel to join its Legal Corporate Affairs team in Toulouse. The role supports high‑impact, cross‑border projects that are central to Airbus’ strategy of pioneering sustainable aerospace.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate preliminary agreements and transaction documents such as MoUs, LOIs, Share Purchase Agreements, shareholders’ agreements and joint‑venture agreements.
• Lead legal due diligence, manage post‑closing matters and ensure compliance with relevant laws, including foreign direct investment regulations.
• Coordinate with internal legal teams (antitrust, compliance) and external law firms, overseeing cost‑efficient external support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders including M&A, tax, finance, HR, insurance, real estate and business units.
• Travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, to support transaction activities.

Required profile

• Law degree from the EU, US or UK with a specialization in Business or Corporate Law.
• Minimum five years of international M&A experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Proven drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to provide concise, business‑oriented advice to senior management.
• Strong adaptability to a complex, fast‑moving, multicultural environment.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
