Senior Legal Counsel – Litigation & Regulatory

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specialized in litigation and regulatory matters to join its Legal Department in Marignane, France. The role involves protecting the company’s interests in disputes with suppliers and customers while supporting internal stakeholders across procurement, sales and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle claims and litigations from and towards suppliers and customers, in coordination with the Legal Contracts team.
• Develop and deliver internal training on commercial claims, raising awareness and acting as a partner to business units.
• Draft legal risk assessment notes for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers and customers to resolve disputes.
• Prepare settlement agreements and negotiate settlements.
• Coordinate external counsel and internal teams on litigation, including product liability and criminal cases.
• Conduct discovery processes for U.S. litigations, including document production and depositions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an in‑house legal counsel or lawyer, specializing in contract or litigation.
• Experience in an industrial environment or abroad is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to negotiate in English.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical abilities and legal risk‑management skills.
