Senior Financial Controller Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller Manager to oversee the reliability, compliance and consistency of financial information across the Group’s shipping agencies and more than 300 subsidiaries. Reporting to Group Finance Management, you will strengthen financial control, ensure statutory compliance and drive process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise statutory month‑end closing and consolidated reporting for the entire network, ensuring deadlines and accuracy.
• Coordinate financial control with regional offices, train subsidiary finance teams and conduct on‑site internal‑control missions.
• Lead analytical reviews, variance analysis and performance driver identification; monitor foreign‑exchange balances and oversee necessary accounting adjustments.
• Strengthen internal‑control framework through periodic testing, risk mapping and compliance with regulations such as Sapin 2 and OFAC.
• Manage statutory audits, including auditor selection, fee negotiation and audit‑report monitoring.
• Optimise intra‑group financing, monitor cash levels, organise fund repatriation and collaborate with Treasury, Legal and Tax on strategic projects.
• Facilitate cross‑functional projects, act as interface between subsidiaries, regional offices and head‑office, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Unified Reporting, Fast Close and Finance ERP implementation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance; Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification highly valued.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably starting in a Big Four audit firm and then in an international group (CAC 40 or SBF 120).
• Proven track record in financial reporting, consolidation and internal‑control environments within large multinational organisations.
• Strong knowledge of statutory and internal accounting standards, audit processes and regulatory compliance.
