Senior Engineering Manager

About the role

Pennylane is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and mentor multiple engineering squads across Europe. Reporting to a Co‑Founder & CTO or Head of Engineering, you will manage several Engineering Managers and help shape the technical direction of a fast‑growing fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and mentor squads of 5‑8 developers, ensuring high quality and efficient delivery.
• Manage a group of Engineering Managers (manager of managers) on a daily basis.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other senior engineering leaders to align on roadmap and standards.
• Set up and evolve processes as the tech organization scales.
• Participate in cross‑team initiatives and help scale the platform from 700k+ customers onward.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing engineering teams, including managing other managers.
• Fluent in English.
