Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer you will design and own the orchestration layer that powers Pelico’s AI‑driven manufacturing platform. You will work across global SaaS infrastructure and highly restricted, air‑gapped environments to make installation, management and scaling effortless for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build deployment platforms that run on Kubernetes, Docker, single VMs, air‑gapped sites and private clouds using Terraform, Helm and Ansible.
• Create a one‑click installation experience, standardising upgrades and operational tooling for enterprise deployments.
• Improve platform reliability and observability by developing monitoring, diagnostics and self‑remediation capabilities.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, troubleshoot production incidents and automate runbooks.
• Standardise CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure practices and deployment workflows to boost engineering productivity and security.
• Support GovCloud, FedRAMP and other regulated deployments for aerospace and defence customers.
• Explore AI‑powered infrastructure engineering, including agentic and AI‑assisted workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering in high‑growth or production environments.
• Strong background building and operating cloud and on‑premise systems with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm and Ansible.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability and modern deployment practices.
• Solid software engineering skills, preferably with Java, and an automation‑first mindset.
• Comfortable with on‑call duties, troubleshooting and improving platform reliability.
• Excellent communication and ability to work across engineering, product and customer IT teams.
