Senior Compliance Specialist, People Operations (EMEA)

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist (People, EMEA) in Paris. As a subject-matter expert, you own employment, labour and statutory compliance across the region (mainly France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ireland and the UK) in a hands-on, individual-contributor role. You will partner with People Operations, Legal, People Business Partners and regional stakeholders to build and maintain compliant people processes, and will work alongside a Compliance Coordinator and an incoming apprentice.

Key responsibilities

• Track regulatory updates and oversee compliance with employment laws and contracts, and health and safety in offices
• Manage accommodation requests end-to-end and track statutory medical requirements, including hiring employees with disabilities
• Lead work rule updates, Works Council coordination (France and the Netherlands) and reporting
• Track mandatory training compliance and submit required government reports on time
• Design and maintain People policies and procedures, such as leave, termination, redundancy and working hours
• Maintain a regional compliance calendar and audit cadence, and lead or support internal and external audits and regulator inquiries
• Share best practices with counterparts in the Americas and APAC regions

Required profile

• 5+ years in People Operations, HR compliance or employment administration in an EMEA regional role
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage recurring compliance tasks and deadlines without close oversight
• A self-starter with good judgment, able to distinguish material compliance risk from lower-priority administrative gaps
• Collaborative partner who works with People Operations, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, PBPs, Security and Office Ops
• Experience building or running compliance calendars, risk registers or audit programs

Required skills

• Comfortable applying AI tools to streamline compliance work
• Ability to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements
