Senior Buyer – In‑Flight Connectivity

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Senior Buyer for In‑Flight Connectivity to join its Procurement department in Toulouse, France. The role will define and implement procurement strategies for critical connectivity solutions across Airbus aircraft programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for satellite, air‑to‑ground and Wi‑Fi connectivity systems, aligned with Airbus business objectives.
• Lead the full procurement cycle, including market analysis, tendering, contract negotiation (pricing, IP rights, SLAs) and supplier relationship management.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, legal and programme teams to integrate procurement activities into project timelines.
• Monitor market trends, technological advances and regulatory changes to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as cost reduction, process optimisation and resolution of supplier claims.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in aerospace or telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of in‑flight connectivity technologies (satellite communication, air‑to‑ground systems, Wi‑Fi, hardware/software).
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Fluency in English; French or German is a plus.
