Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial operations across our European entities. Based in Paris, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams, driving continuous improvement and supporting the accounting team in day‑to‑day activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate and reconcile transactions, ensuring integrity of accounting workflows.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes in collaboration with the controlling team.
• Manage general ledger entries, account reconciliations, journal postings, and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, accruals, provisions and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor billing schedules, and reconcile billing data with accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and internal policies; prepare tax filings and VAT declarations.
• Support external and internal audits by providing complete financial documentation.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, especially automation within SAP Business One.
• Liaise with the Financial Controlling department and mentor junior accountants.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior accountant handling multi‑entity accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and European tax regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end, year‑end close and audit support.
• Ability to guide junior team members and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
