SE/MBSE Capabilities Leader – Propulsion Engineering

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a SE/MBSE Capabilities Leader (f/m) to join its Propulsion Engineering centre in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing propulsion engineering capabilities and will work on Systems Engineering and MBSE methodologies to drive digital transformation across the propulsion perimeter.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute a multi‑year financial and capability roadmap for MBSE tools and processes to deliver quantifiable business cases.
• Deploy scaled SysML and MBSE capabilities covering architecture, test, validation, and qualification for propulsion systems across the digital ecosystem.
• Steer cross‑functional technical alignment with engine manufacturers, power‑plant suppliers, and internal DDMS teams to enforce system coherence.
• Coach engineering teams and managers on modelling tools such as Cameo and Capella to drive method adoption across projects.
• Monitor project key performance indicators dynamically and integrate lessons learned into continuous‑improvement deliverables for the Propulsion centre.

Required profile

• Background in engineering with aircraft or propulsion systems specialization.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, MBSE, and strategic project management.
• Hands‑on expertise with UML/SysML modelling frameworks (Cameo/MagicDraw, Capella, Matlab Simulink, Amesim).
• Deep technical expertise in Powerplant Systems Engineering (engine control, system integration, thermal management, performance).
• Proven proficiency in financial forecasting, project budgeting, and ROI business‑case building for technical transformations.
• English at a negotiation/advanced level; French is an asset.
