Security Engineer, AWS CIRT

About the role

Join the AWS Customer Incident Response Team (CIRT) to help global customers detect, respond to, and automate security incidents at planetary scale. You will work on fast‑paced, complex projects that deliver innovative security solutions across the AWS cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations for AWS customers.
• Act as a trusted technical resource before, during, and after security events.
• Design, build, and deploy automated security‑operations and incident‑response solutions on AWS.
• Collaborate with internal builder projects to create new consulting engagement models.
• Develop high‑quality content such as automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers.
• Innovate on behalf of customers by turning ideas into actionable results.
• Mentor consultants, partners, and customers to raise security standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as required.

Required profile

• Experienced security engineer with a proven ability to scale security solutions.
• Strong track record of earning trust with customer stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams including Amazonians, partners, and customers.
• Passion for building threat‑detection and incident‑response capabilities.
