Security Architect

About the role

The Security Architect will serve as the authority on security architecture within INTERPOL’s ICT Executive Directorate, reporting to the Head of Engineering and Solution Design. Based in Lyon, the role focuses on defining and governing a robust security architecture strategy for the organization’s global digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define, govern, and evolve INTERPOL’s security architecture strategy to ensure secure, resilient, and compliant ICT systems.
• Integrate security‑by‑design principles throughout the full lifecycle of ICT projects and services.
• Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and engineering teams to embed security controls across all platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight for security solutions, standards, and frameworks.
• Support the development of security policies, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven professional experience in security architecture or related ICT security roles, with verifiable employment records.
• Ability to obtain an enhanced security screening clearance.
• Experience working in large, complex, international organizations is preferred.
• Strong analytical and governance skills to lead security‑by‑design initiatives.
