Science & Technology Advisor (Technical Sales)

About the role

The Science & Technology Advisor (STA) accelerates the sales process for 10x Genomics products across an assigned territory. Working remotely, the STA acts as a field technical expert, supporting academic, government, private and industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to generate, qualify and close opportunities.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, applications, marketing and distributors to develop content and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Maintain records, forecast business and provide competitive intelligence.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc activity reports.
• Coordinate technical seminars, trade shows and vendor events.
• Achieve territory sales targets through field visits, virtual meetings and account‑growth plans.
• Mentor and train colleagues, distributors and customers.
• Participate in global and regional STA team activities.

Required profile

• Strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to small and large groups.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience with NGS, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, oncology or neuroscience.
• Ability to network internally and externally.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and stand or walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and results‑driven.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable vehicle and insurance.
• Proficiency in French and English.
