Sales Account Executive

About the role

As a Sales Account Executive at AspenTech, you will own and grow relationships with strategically important customers in the process manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for acquiring new logos and expanding existing accounts across industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead joint strategic and new‑logo account planning, setting performance objectives, financial targets and milestones.
• Articulate solution business value and coordinate solution development with cross‑functional teams including marketing, pre‑sales engineering and development.
• Gather market intelligence, analyze competition and identify trends to inform account strategies.
• Develop and execute detailed account plans, including white‑space analysis and awareness initiatives.
• Manage the full deal cycle – proposals, contracts and negotiations – to achieve assigned sales quotas.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain executive‑level engagement with key accounts.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with strong business acumen and a proven track record in B2B sales.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal resources to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
• Understanding of the process manufacturing industry and its challenges.
