Safety Manager – RAMS for EGNOS Program

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Safety Manager to join the RAMS department in Toulouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that safety and dependability risks across the EGNOS satellite‑based augmentation system are identified, assessed, mitigated and accepted throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the project Safety Plan in line with safety requirements.
• Lead a team of about five Safety & Dependability engineers.
• Assess and validate system‑level and lower‑level safety requirements.
• Review and approve safety‑related deliverables and technical anomaly reports.
• Represent Airbus Defence and Space in Safety Boards and manage weekly RAMS meetings.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of RAMS engineering processes, methods and tools.
• Experience with ESA or large navigation projects, preferably in GNSS.
• Good communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, coordinate teams and work autonomously.
• Fluent in English and French; security clearance eligibility required.
