Quality Manager – Aerospace Production

About the role

HyLight is seeking a Quality Manager to lead product qualification and serial production quality for its next‑generation airship platform. Reporting directly to the Executive Committee, you will own the definition and enforcement of quality gates that separate R&D from full‑scale manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce phase‑gate quality thresholds between engineering development and serial production.
• Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) frameworks.
• Design and embed mandatory physical and digital inspection points on the assembly line.
• Deploy mistake‑proofing (Poka‑Yoke), automated optical inspection (AOI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to catch anomalies early.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of field returns, maintain end‑to‑end traceability, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with Production, Airworthiness, and deployment technicians to align agile development with aerospace standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aerospace or high‑tech manufacturing quality management.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence senior leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, founder‑level ownership attitude.
