Quality Development Architect - Composite Technologies (ME)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Quality Development Architect (m/f) to join its Central Quality Organization (QMD) in Toulouse, France. You will work on automation and robotics solutions for composite technologies on the nextGen Aircraft program, contributing to quality process architecture and preventive standards definition.

Key responsibilities

• Define quality process architecture and integrate manufacturing quality requirements into development projects (nextGen).
• Evaluate technology maturity (TRL/MRL) during gate reviews with Engineering and Production.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in deploying preventive quality standards (PFMEA, SPC, MSA) on technology projects.
• Conduct machine capability studies on automated solutions using recognized statistical methods.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D/9S) and collect lessons learned to continuously improve the quality system.

Required profile

• Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering background with substantial professional experience.
• Technical expertise in composite technologies, robotics, automation and statistical methods.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel frequently (e.g. Hamburg, Spain).

Required skills

• Mastery of preventive quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan) and the APQP framework (ref. 9145).
• Knowledge of aviation, space and defense QMS requirements (AS/EN 9100 or ISO 9001).
• Complex problem solving (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
