Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager you will lead the development of inspection robotic systems for Westinghouse Electric in France. Acting as the bridge between technical teams, project management and external partners, you will structure activities, monitor progress and ensure compliance with nuclear‑sector regulations. The position is full‑time, reports to the Engineering Manager and is based on‑site in Mondragon.

Key responsibilities

• Define and organise the development phases of the robotic system.
• Break projects into work packages, set milestones and create detailed schedules.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation plans and track deviations.
• Lead progress reviews with technical teams and senior management.
• Produce dashboards and reports on cost, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electronics, software and field teams.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality and traceability requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, management plans and support qualification reviews and audits.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in physics, applied physics, engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project management of complex hardware projects.
• Additional training such as PMP, PRINCE2 or other PMI certifications.
• Knowledge of nuclear industry constraints, safety and radiation protection regulations.
• Familiarity with quality frameworks (ASN, ISO) and traceability requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera or equivalent planning tools.
• Creation of WBS structures, Gantt charts and milestone diagrams.
• Resource management, dependency analysis and risk mitigation.
• Agile and hybrid methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) applied to hardware development.
• Understanding of nuclear safety standards, ASN and ISO regulations.
