Professional Headshots Retoucher (Remote)

About the role

Headshots.com is looking for experienced retouchers to transform smartphone‑taken professional headshots into studio‑quality images. You will work remotely, applying consistent, natural enhancements to large batches of photos while preserving realistic skin texture and lighting.

Key responsibilities

• Retouch professional headshots from mobile photos with a natural, realistic finish.
• Correct skin tone, noise, mixed lighting, exposure issues, and soft focus.
• Reduce or remove glasses glare while maintaining realism.
• Perform seamless background swaps and composites.
• Maintain consistency and quality across large image batches.
• Deliver work on time, meeting daily/weekly volume expectations.
• Follow established retouching guidelines and apply feedback efficiently.
• Communicate any issues that could affect timelines or quality.

Required profile

• Strong ability to retouch natural skin while preserving texture.
• Expertise in clean hair masking and edge work without halos.
• Proficiency in realistic background compositing.
• Excellent color correction and exposure balancing, especially in uneven lighting.
• Strong written English; spoken English for occasional Zoom calls is a plus.

Required skills

• Adobe Photoshop (licensed subscription).
• Graphics tablet (Wacom, Huion, XP‑Pen, or similar).
• Color correction.
• Exposure balancing.
• Background compositing.
